That one-of-a-kind person deserves a one-of-a-kind holiday gift — and the Greensburg Art Center has just the thing.

“When mall shopping just won’t do,” the center says, visit The Art of Gifting, the Hempfield center’s annual holiday show and sale of artisan gift items from about 30 area artists.

The show opened with a Nov. 9 reception and runs through Dec. 20, perfect for early-bird and last-minute shoppers. It’s also perfect for all budgets, with merchandise running from $3 to $300.

The center’s Rowe Gallery is decorated merrily for the holidays, with round tables, walls and display cases overflowing with decorative items, jewelry, scarves, ornaments, paintings, ceramics and pottery, wood pieces, hand-painted wine glasses and much more. New merchandise will be set out throughout the sale.

Sharing chairperson duties for this year’s show are Marcia Gilbert and Cheryl Robertson. Committee members include Cindy Regina, Loretta Wolfe, Debbie King, June Drexler Robertson and Rose Sovyak.

Seen at the reception: Bill and Susan Kiren, Emily Bisel, Bonnie Hoffman, Susan Pollins, Bob and Pat Majcher, Tami Krusper, Karen Zueger, Joyce Hines, Nichol Barney, Keith Raynor, Jerry Scorpion, Gretchen Lowry, Susan Hammel, Ed and Carol Gross, Betty Reese, Steve and Louise Reese and Max Reese.
