The E.C. Cruisers vintage car club was on a mission when members rolled up to the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center on Oct. 5.

Members were there to deliver a check for $8,387 to Westmoreland Children First during the organization’s annual Wine and Chocolate Gala, from proceeds of its Sept. 15 car cruise at the Delmont Volunteer Fire Department.

Funds will go to the Christmas fund of the Westmoreland County Children’s Bureau, for which WCF is the advisory board. The club has been raising funds for the kids for 25 years, said publicist Tom Steiner, totaling more than $100,000 during that time.

Guests at the sold-out affair also had the opportunity to contribute more via silent and basket auctions, as they sampled a wide selection of wines and chocolates from O’Shea’s Candies of Johnstown.

Event co-chairs were Kitty Hricenak and Denise Thoma. Jennifer Antkowiak served as emcee.

The co-chairs also serve on the WCF board of directors, along with President Veronica Ent, Stacey Winfield, Kathleen Daniele, Kris Feliciani, Don Graham, Bryan Kline, Tina Wodzinski, Patricia Quatrini, Carol Zera and Bill Bretz.
