A sign in the front of a Mt. Washington church still says the year 2022 — that was the last time services were held at GrandView United Presbyterian Church.
Now, it’s on the market for $1.2 million.
The property is being sold through Eric J. Lamm and Tom Conroy of Hanna Commercial Real Estate of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services.
The building sits on a corner lot on Grandview Avenue adjacent to the Carnegie Library of Mt. Washington. The views of the city from this angle are spectacular.
Built in 1900, the church has a brick and stone exterior.
According to the University of Pittsburgh digital library, the GrandView United Presbyterian Church was organized on June 30, 1857, as Mount Washington Presbyterian Church. It changed its name to GrandView United Presbyterian Church in 1961. The final service was held on Dec. 31, 2022.
