Rockaway Pizzeria moving to Regent Square
Rockaway Pizzeria is set to move from White Oak to Regent Square this fall.
Corbin Waligura, manager of Rockaway Pizzeria, confirmed that the move will take place in October.
The pizzeria will move into the former Square Cafe space on South Braddock Avenue across from Hemlock House, which is under the same ownership as Rockaway.
“Nothing’s changing really,” Waligura said of the move.
The intention is for Rockaway Pizzeria to move closer to Pittsburgh, he said.
Rockaway’s White Oak location will probably close in the last week or two of September to allow for equipment to be moved and set up in Regent Square, according to Waligura.
Until then, the White Oak location will operate normally, he said.
Square Cafe moved from Regent Square to East Liberty in 2020. The restaurant reopened a second store – Square One — in the Regent Square spot in 2022, but it closed after five months.
Rockway’s owner Josh Sickels owns Hemlock House restaurant, which is across the street on South Braddock from where the pizzeria will relocate.
