Golden Gai, a to-go sushi restaurant, has announced its grand opening day — May 28 — in Bakery Square.
Its intention is to bring the taste of Japan to Pittsburgh’s East End and redefine the authentic sushi experience.
Golden Gai To-Go will just be a sneak peek of what’s to come once the restaurant’s interior space is completed.
For now, guests will be able to order online or through a walk-up touchscreen.
“Golden Gai To-Go promises to be the go-to spot for sushi enthusiasts looking for quality and convenience,” the restaurant said in a release. “Whether you’re on a lunch break or craving a quick bite after work, our walk-up window ensures that you can grab your favorite sushi roll in no time.”
By the Richard DeShantz Restaurant Group, Golden Gai To-Go’s menu will feature everything from nigiri and sashimi selections to classic California maki and specialty rolls.
“Our vision for Golden Gai To-Go is to provide a fast, convenient and delicious sushi experience.
for our patrons,” said the restaurant’s executive chef partner, Michael Taylor. “We want to offer a taste of what’s to come while maintaining the same high standards of quality and flavor thatwill define our brand.”
Golden Gai To-Go joins the variety of restaurants in Bakery Square, including Alta Via Pizzeria, City Kitchen, Jeni’s Spendid Ice Creams, Jimmy John’s, Panera, Starbucks and tako torta.
