Row House Cinema in Lawrenceville is bringing a fashion film festival to town with the help of Style412.
The roster includes the documentaries “The True Cost” and “Halston,” and the classic films “Zoolander” and “Clueless.”
View this post on InstagramOne of the reasons I knew I wanted to move back to Pittsburgh was to help actually make a change in the fashion scene here (something nearly impossible in NYC). #fastforward 10 years and I have the honor of being on the team that is helping to bring this historical festival to life! The first of its kind, I hope to see you at the super exciting events that we have planned during the week!! Come support @style412 & the lovely @rowhousecinema! #style412 #stylefouronetwo #fashionfilmfestival #pittsburghfashion A post shared by Aire (@sparkleeveryday) on Sep 9, 2019 at 4:48pm PDT
Style412 is a nonprofit dedicated to boosting the local fashion scene.
Show times and ticketing information can be found at rowhousecinema.com.
The festival kicks off at 12:45 p.m. Friday with “Clueless.” Prior to the 7 p.m. screening of “The True Cost,” a criticial examination of the fast-fashion business, a panel of local experts will discuss responsible retail and sustainable practices within the Pittsburgh fashion industry.
Other events include a brunch on Sunday from nearby restaurant Reed & Company before a matinee.
The festival concludes Sept. 26 with a party for the screening of “Halston.” Released earlier this year, the documentary follows the life and work of the 1970s designer Roy Halston Frowick.
