For $20, you can buy AirPods-looking earbuds that don't work

Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, talks about AirPods during an event in San Francisco on Sept. 7, 2016.

If you want to look cool but not drop a bunch of money, boy does ASOS have a product for you.

The online retailer is selling a “faux headphone ear piece” for $9.50. The single earbud comes in silver and does not work. But, they could trick people into thinking you’re wearing Apple AirPods, which seems to be their sole function.

Retail Dive calls the earbud a “fake and totally useless AirPod.”

At a cost of about $20 for a pair, you’d save over $100 if you were choosing between non-functioning and functioning wireless earbuds.

By the way, the ASOS product is non-returnable, but it’s made of 100% zinc, so there’s that.
