A Pennsylvania company that’s open every day of the year has once again ranked as a great place to work.

The Altoona-based Sheetz convenience store chain has ranked No. 85 on Fortune magazine’s list of 100 Best Places to Work for in America. That’s down a few notches from last year’s 66th place. They ranked No. 87 in 2017 and No. 97 in 2016.

Fortune says the hourly wages at Sheetz are in the 90th percentile among their competitors, they match 401(k) contributions up to 4 percent, and dental expenses are 100 percent covered up to $2,000 per year. Workers appreciate an internal network that lets them share suggestions.

This is the fifth time in six years Sheetz has been named to the list, and Sheetz is the only convenience store to be recognized.

In Pennsylvania, Sheetz employs more than 10,000 people. Fortune says the chain has 18,900 worked across six states.

The Kimpton hotel chain, headquartered in Philadelphia, ranked fifth on the list, the highest of any Pennsylvania company. They employ 8,813 and operate Pittsburgh’s Hotel Monaco.

Comcast, with 184,000 employees, was the largest company in the state to make the list, landing at No. 71.

SAP America, with offices in the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh areas, took the 28th spot for the second year.
