Northwest Bank to move to William Penn Place
Northwest Bank plans to relocate to 525 William Penn Place in Downtown Pittsburgh.
The financial institution will move from 535 Smithfield St. this month. The long-term lease is for a 5,322-square-foot space on the 35th floor of the William Penn Place office building.
“Our team is excited to relocate to an iconic Pittsburgh landmark in the heart of the Golden Triangle,” said Forrest Tefft, senior vice president and managing director of corporate finance at Northwest Bank. “The capital improvements recently made by the landlord and its central location in the heart of Mellon Square Park were compelling factors in our decision to relocate.”
The 41-story, 900,000-square-foot William Penn Place was built in 1951 and renovated in 2019.
“Northwest Bank is a great addition to the tenancy of 525 William Penn Place and our 35th floor is now fully leased,” CBRE’s Patrick Greene said in a statement announcing the deal.
Northwest Bank is a Pennsylvania-chartered savings bank headquartered in Warren. The bank operates 142 full-service branches across Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and Indiana.
