SteelStacks, an arts venue on the site of a former Bethlehem Steel plant in Bethlehem, Pa., will host a free Blast Furnace Blues festival June 28-30.

Carrie Blast Furnaces in Rankin isn’t the only old steel mill in Pennsylvania that’s been repurposed as an arts venue.

There’s also SteelStacks, once the home plant of Bethlehem Steel in Bethlehem. Five idle blast furnaces loom over the 10-acre site offering concerts, festivals, food, arts programming, family fun and more.

On June 28-30, SteelStacks will host Blast Furnace Blues, a music festival featuring two-time Blues Music Awards Entertainer of the Year Tommy Castro, Louisiana-based Curley Taylor and Zydeco Trouble and the husband-wife duo The War and Treaty.

In all, 10 acts will perform. Admission is free.
