Thursday is stepping up to help protect others during the coronavirus pandemic.
The New Brunswick, N.J.,-formed band is helping frontline medical workers and essential personnel by pulling merch stock and shipping it to “various grassroots organizations in NJ who will convert them into ‘fabric’ face masks to assist the frontline workers,” the band said on Instagram.
On top of that, the band on Wednesday will start selling face masks via their merch store with the Thursday dove logo, with 100% of proceeds going to producing more masks.
“If you buy one then a minimum of two ‘factory’ masks (and even more when we scale) will be donated to one of the NY/NJ area hospitals,” the band said.
According to the band, all new items will be sold based on pre-orders for a period of 10 days before they are manufactured and shipped.
“We hope that this approach can bring a smile to some faces, while providing some masks for essential workers,” Thursday said.
The band is most known for albums like 2001’s “Full Collapse” and 2003’s “War All the Time” and songs like “Understanding in a Car Crash” and “War All the Time.”
