Roger Daltrey (left) and Pete Townshend of The Who perform at the 2017 Outside Lands Music Festival at Golden Gate Park on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, in San Francisco, Calif. The pair performed "Won’t Get Fooled Again" with classroom instruments on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey of the legendary rock band The Who traded in their signature wailing electric guitars and keyboards for a bevy of classroom instruments during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The pair were accompanied by Fallon and members of his house band The Roots on “Won’t Get Fooled Again.”

The rundown: Datrey, vocals, tambourine; Townshend, vocals, toy guitar; Fallon, vocals, Casio keyboard, wood Block; Questlove, bongos, banana shaker, hair pick; Kamal Gray, xylophone; James Poyser, melodica; Captain Kirk, ukulele; Mark, kazoo, orange shaker; Tuba Gooding Jr., kazoo, apple shaker; Stro, drum machine and Black Thought, tambourine.

Hopefully, Townsend’s guitar doesn’t meet the same fate during the band’s upcoming Pittsburgh concert May 30 in PPG Paints Arena. The band opened it’s Moving On tour May 7 in Grand Rapids, Mich.
