Rage Against The Machine won’t play Pittsburgh this year.

The band announced Friday that they are postponing their 2020 “Public Service Announcement Tour,” which included a July 31 stop at PPG Paints Arena, because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Rage Against The Machine will commence our tour at such a time when we are confident it will be safe for our fans,”a statement read on the band’s website. “We sincerely hope that each one of you and your families and friends stay safe and well and that music is bringing you solace and inspiration. We look forward to seeing you.”

The rescheduled Pittsburgh date is Aug. 19, 2021, at PPG Paints Arena.

Tickets for the original show will be honored at the rescheduled show.

Rage “requested and confirmed” that anyone who wants a refund can begin the process at your point of purchase as of this weekend, the statement said.
