If you’re a Nirvana fan, you can now own a pretty rare piece of the band’s history: Kurt Cobain’s hair.

Iconic Auctions has more than 1,200 items up for auction starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, with six strands of the Nirvana frontman’s hair among them.

According to the auction item description, Cobain’s blonde hair is housed on a 8.5 inch x 11 inch sheet, with the largest strand measuring about 2.5 inches. “This one-of-a-kind artifact is entirely fresh-to-market, and accompanied by an impeccable lineage of provenance including images of Kurt (Cobain) posing with the woman who cut this hair, scissors in hand, and a fantastic shot of the hair actually being cut,” the description said.

The opening bid for Cobain’s hair is $2,500. The late grunge star died on April 5, 1994.

Items from the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan and Kiss are also a part of “The Amazing Music Auction,” which closes May 15.
