There’s a line in Mac Miller’s song “So It Goes” that says, “Well, this is a special delivery, comin’ to you live.”
Over the weekend, fans got another type of special delivery from the late rapper and Point Breeze native with the previously unreleased song “Real” surfacing online.
Opening lines in the explicit song hint at Miller’s struggles: “The trap is filled up with so many mistakes, can’t believe I’m alive.”
The track was produced by Metro Boomin, whose latest work is “Not All Heroes Wear Capes,” featuring Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Young Thug, Gucci Mane, Drake and others, which debuted at No. 1 in November on the Billboard 200.
“Real” follows “Benji the Dog,” another new song that surfaced last month, leading to online speculation that there might be a lot more Miller music yet to come.

Born Malcolm McCormick, Miller died Sept. 7, 2018, of an accidental drug overdose. His first album, “Blue Slide Park,“ paid tribute to the playground at Frick Park, a favorite childhood play place in Squirrel Hill.
