Ten years is a long time, but some things seem like they just happened.

Can you believe it’s been a decade since Kanye West stormed the stage during Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards? Believe it or not, it’s been that long.

While accepting the award for best female video for “You Belong with Me,” West grabbed the mic and says the infamous words, “Yo Taylor. I’m really happy for you, I’mma let you finish,” before going off about how Beyonce should have one the award for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It.)”

In 2009, Swift won the award for best female video. West was nominated for four awards that year.

At this year’s VMAs, Swift won awards for video of the year, video for good and best visual effects, while being nominated for others awards. West’s song “I Love it” with Lil Pump featuring Adele Givens was nominated for best art direction.
