Heinz Field releases policies for weekend Chesney concert

Kenny Chesney is bringing his “Here and Now” stadium tour to Pittsburgh on Saturday, and officials are hoping to keep the trash and debauchery in the parking lots to a minimum.

Heinz Field officials released information for those who plan to attend the concert as a reminder of the policies in place, including the parking lot code of conduct.

• Upon entering, fans will receive trash and recycling bags
• Trash must be disposed of properly
• The following are prohibited: solicitation of any kind, the sale of food and alcohol, glass containers, tents, personal port-a-johns, furniture (other than folding lawn chairs), and oversized vehicles.

Heinz Field recommends booking parking in advance through the Heinz Field SpotHero parking reservation page.

Parking lots opens at 1 p.m.

All parking lots in the area surrounding the stadium on the North Shore will be open. And they encouraged to use North Shore parking lots, including the Champions Garage and other North Shore lots.

Directions to parking lots are available through the concert and events page on the Heinz Field website or through the WAZE app.

All gates will open at 4 p.m.

The show starts at 5 p.m. with Carly Pearce, followed by Old Dominion at 5:55 p.m. Dan + Shay perform at 7:05 p.m. and Chesney takes the stage at 8:50 p.m.

Guests with floor seats must enter Gate 6 North Endzone on Reedsdale Street and all other guests may enter at any other open gate.

Because the show is at Heinz Field, the NFL’s Clear Bag Policy will be in effect, and fans are encouraged to forego all bags, which will be inspected. Umbrellas are allowed but are not permitted to be open in the seating bowl.

Heinz Field management issued a list of items that also can’t be taken inside: selfie sticks, coolers, bags, thermoses, backpacks, large purses, cans, glass bottles, flasks, alcoholic beverages, laser pointers, noisemakers, strollers, video or movie cameras, tripods, audio recording equipment, weapons and other dangerous or otherwise inappropriate items.
