Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Weezer postpone Pittsburgh show, Hella Mega tour dates
One of the big U.S. rock tours of the summer will now happen in 2021.
Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer were set to head out on the Hella Mega tour this summer, but the bands have postponed the North American dates of the summer trek until next year.
The tour was set to come to Pittsburgh on Aug. 15 at PNC Park.
“Hopefully this doesn’t come as a surprise, but as much as we were all looking forward to seeing you all this summer, everyone’s safety is our highest priority so we’ve officially made the call to reschedule all North American dates of the Hella Mega tour until next year,” the bands said in a joint statement.

While not specifically stated, the tour’s postponement is likely because of the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions on social gatherings.
No dates have been given yet for 2021, but the statement said the concerts will happen at the same venues.
Fans have the option to use their ticket for the rescheduled show or receive a refund. Refund options will be emailed to ticker holders, per the statement.
