Gabby Barrett arrives at the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

Gabby Barrett’s first album will be out this year. When that happens is another story.

The Munhall native talked about her album with Billboard and gave some, but not all, of its details.

“You can expect an album sometime this year. I’ve been working on music for a year and a half now,” Barrett said. “I don’t want to give anything away yet, but it’s not one genre. We’ve got some cool collaborations coming up. This album’s going to be something worth listening to.“

Her debut single, “I Hope,” released in July 2019, made appearances on the Billboard Hot 100, Country Airplay and Hot County Songs charts.

Barrett will open for Brad Paisley on Aug. 8 at S&T Bank Music Park in Burgettstown.
