Bellevue announced that two roads in the borough will be closed all day Tuesday for the filming of a Netflix movie.

Mayor Val Pennington said West Avenue between S. Starr and St. Jackson avenues and S. Jackson Avenue up to Monroe Avenue will be closed all day Tuesday.

Those roads are adjacent to the Allegheny General Hospital Suburban campus.

Pennington said he was not at liberty to discuss details about the Netflix film.

However, reports indicate that Netflix started filming “Demon House,” a thriller directed by Lee Daniels, in June in the area. The Pittsburgh Film Office announced in April “Demon House” will be filmed locally over the summer.

The film will star Glenn Close, Mo’Nique, and others. It is based on a supposed demonic possession and an exorcism in Indiana that occurred in the early 2010s.

Other recent Netflix projects filmed in the Pittsburgh area include the upcoming “Rustin,” 2020’s “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” and 2021’s “Sweet Girl.”
