Host Nick Cannon and Le’Veon Bell in the ’90s Night’ episode of ‘The Masked Singer.’

In this episode of the “Pittsburgh Pop” podcast, host Tim Benz and TV Talk columnist Rob Owen discuss Pittsburgh pop culture news of the moment, including the unmasking of Milkshake on Fox’s “The Masked Singer” to reveal former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell. None of the judges correctly guessed the identity of Milkshake in an episode that aired Sunday night. Bell, who has been releasing music tracks for years, said he went on “Masked Singer” to showcase his musical talent.

“People know me from the football field,” Bell said on “Masked Singer.” “I just wanted to get in another lane and get people to know I’m talented for other things and not just football.”

Owen reviews the Roku Channel streaming movie “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story,” Netflix comedy “Blockbuster” and filmed-in-Pittsburgh “Dear Zoe.”

The pair also discuss filmed-in-Pittsburgh “Mayor of Kingstown” landing a premiere date.
