In this episode of the “Pittsburgh Pop” podcast, host Tim Benz and TV Talk columnist Rob Owen discuss Pittsburgh pop culture news of the moment, including a quartet of Pittsburghers on Disney+’s “Best in Snow.”

Owen reviews HBO Max sequel “A Christmas Story Christmas” and Apple TV+’s “Spirited.”

Benz previews Thanksgiving NFL games and the pair discuss the challenges of assessing the success (or failure) of Amazon’s “Thursday Night Football” and Prime Video’s decision to add a channel offering sports talk programming 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

And the pair discuss “Andor,” which Owen calls the best “Star Wars” streaming series with the most mature, sophisticated storytelling to date. The first two episodes of “Andor,” which are not the show’s best (those come around episodes 8-10), will air this week on ABC (9-10:30 p.m. Nov. 23), FX (9-10:30 p.m. Nov. 24), Freeform (9-10:30 p.m. Nov. 25) and Hulu (available Nov. 23-Dec. 7). The “Andor” season finale streams Wednesday on Disney+.
