Pittsburgh native and Penn State grad eliminated on season premiere of ‘The Bachelor’

ABC’s ‘The Bachelor’ featured Cara Ammon, originally from Pittsburgh.

Season 27 of “The Bachelor” debuted Monday on ABC.

One of the 30 women that was going to date star Zach Shallcross was a Pittsburgh native and Penn State University graduate.

But, Cara Ammon, 27, a corporate recruiter at J.P. Morgan in New York City, did not make it past the first episode.

Ammon was one of the 10 women eliminated Monday. The others are Holland Parsons, Lekha Ravi, Madison Johnson, Olivia Lewis, Olivia Miller, Becca Serrano, Sonia Sharma, Vanessa Dinha and Viktoria Eichner.

Greer Blitzer received the First Impression Rose from Shallcross.

“The Bachelor” airs at 8 p.m. Mondays on ABC.

Shallcross, 26, is a tech executive from Anaheim Hills, California. He appeared in season 19 of “The Bachelorette” with Rachel Recchia.

The remaining 20 women are:

• Ariel, 28, a marketing executive from New York City, New York
• Bailey, 27, an executive recruiter from Nashville, Tennessee

• Brooklyn, 25, a rodeo racer from Stillwater, Oklahoma
• Cat, 26, a dancer from New York, New York
• Charity, 26, a child and family therapist from Columbus, Georgia
• Christina Mandrell, 26, a content creator from Nashville, Tennessee
• Davia, 25, a marketing manager from Charleston, South Carolina
• Gabriella “Gabi,” 25, an account executive from Pittsford, Vermont
• Genevie, 26, a neonatal nurse from Baltimore, Maryland
• Greer, 24, a medical sales rep from Houston, Texas
• Jessica “Jess,” 23, an e-commerce coordinator from Winter Springs, Florida
• Kaitlyn “Kaity,” 27, an ER nurse from Austin, Texas
• Katherine, 26, a registered nurse from Tampa, Florida
