Millvale residents saw an increase in police activity on Monday, but not because of crime.

According to a Facebook post from the Millvale Police Department, the television show “Mayor of Kingstown” is filming in the area. Police cars with “Kingstown Police” written on the side could be seen parked in front of the BP gas station on Evergreen Avenue as the crews filmed a police and SWAT scene.

The post warned of noises imitating actual emergency situations but assured that there would be no cause for alarm.

Millvale Police will be on scene directing traffic. Filming will continue until 3 p.m.

“We are excited to have the filming industry back in town filming movies and shows,” the post said.

This isn’t the first time that Millvale residents brushed elbows with Hollywood stars.

“Love the Coopers,” a Christmas-themed romantic comedy starring John Goodman, Amanda Seyfried, Diane Keaton and Alan Arkin filmed in the area in 2015.

A call to Pittsburgh Film Office executive director Dawn Keezer wasn’t immediately returned.
