And you thought the books and movies were big.
Warner Bros. has announced that the first Harry Potter-themed store — Wizarding World — will open for business in New York City this summer.
It’s set to be massive.
Located next to the iconic Flatiron building at 935 Broadway, the three-story, 20,000-square-foot space will feature the largest collection of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts products in the world. Well, under one roof.
There will be everything from Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans and personalized robes to wands — including new ones exclusively designed for the New York store.
“This will … become a must-visit fan destination where Harry Potter enthusiasts can engage with interactive experiences and numerous photo opportunities as they step into the magic,” Sarah Roots of Warner Bros. said in a news release.
She said New York is “the ideal city in which to launch with so many dedicated Wizarding World fans, a cutting-edge retail environment and a community that embraces innovative experiences.”
Since it her first book was published in 1997, J.K. Rowling’s incredibly successful world of characters have managed to permeate world culture, selling more than 500 million books and generating more than $25 billion in combined movie and merchandise revenue.
