Netflix examines the true story of Motley Crue in “The Dirt.” It begins streaming March 22, 2019.

Nothing exemplifies the ’80s more than a hard-rockin’ hair band. And atop that hair-sprayed heap stood Motley Crue.

With the tagline — “Their music made them famous. Their lives made them infamous.” — Netflix released the trailer for the biopic “The Dirt” today. It tells the true story of the debauchery that was the Crue. The movie premieres March 22.

The trailer touches on some of the band’s highlights and lowlights, including Vince Neil’s arrest for vehicular manslaughter, Tommy Lee’s marriage to actress Heather Locklear and the moment Nikki Sixx was revived after being declared legally dead following a heroin overdose, according to spin.com.

Oh, and there’s the music, too — “Home Sweet Home” and “Kickstart My Heart” back the 2 minutes, 14 seconds trailer.

“The Dirt” stars Iwan Rheon (“Game of Thrones,” “Misfits”) as Mick Mars, Douglas Booth (“Pride, Prejudice and Zombies,” “Noah”) as Sixx, rapper Machine Gun Kelly as Lee and Daniel Webber (“The Punisher,” “11.22.63”) as Neil.
