Munhall native Gabby Barrett and husband Cade Foehner expecting 1st baby
Singer Gabby Barrett has announced that she and her husband, Cade Foehner, are expecting their first child.
The Munhall native, 20, revealed to People that their baby girl is due early next year.
“The Lord has blessed us with a little one, and we’re really excited to finally be able to share the news with everybody and just have a big old family celebration about it,” Barrett told the magazine.
Barrett and Foehner were married in October. Barrett met the Texas native during season 16 of “American Idol,” where Barrett finished in the top three, while Foehner was eliminated in the Top 5 round.
Barrett told People that the couple is looking forward to “a family rodeo in a tour bus.”
“It’s always been a dream to take our family out on the road and be able to do the job that we love, surrounded by family and having them experience everything,” she said.
On June 19, Barrett released “Goldmine,” her first full-length album via Warner Music Nashville.
Songs on the album explore county, pop and contemporary worship genres — along with a tribute to both her Pittsburgh-area roots and her husband. On “The Good Ones,” Barrett sings, “He’s solid and he’s steady / Like the Allegheny runs.”
