The Gateway Cheerleading Boosters Club is looking for participants for an upcoming skills camp.

The event will be held 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 2, at the Gateway High School auxiliary gym.

Mindy Mason, the club’s spokeswoman, said children aged 5 to 12 are welcome to participate in the event, where they will learn a cheer, a chant, a dance, jumps and other skills.

Gateway’s junior varsity cheer squad will teach the dances and cheers.

Mason said the boosters club hosts two events each year to help fund the program. The camp costs $20 if participants register by Jan. 30. At-the-door registration costs $25.

Registration includes a lunch. Parents can eat the same lunch with their children for $6, Mason said.

Register online at gatewaycheerleading.com or by emailing mindy.l.mason@comcast.net.
