Authorities have identified the man found fatally shot Wednesday in an alley in Pittsburgh’s Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood.

The victim was identified as Dashawn Jamaal Awkward, 25, of Wilkinsburg by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Awkward was shot multiple times and was found in Fenway Alley after police said they received a six-round ShotSpotter alert. He was dead at the scene, police said.

The department’s crime scene unit recovered shell casings from the area, police said.

Police said Wednesday they had not identified any suspects or made any arrests.

The investigation is ongoing.
