Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker is seeking help identifying a man’s body that was found Sunday evening in the Youghiogheny River near Dawson.
Baker said the white man is bald and has an athletic build at 5-feet, 11-inches tall and 182 pounds. He has a tattoo on his right shoulder blade of a mountain range and is between 25 and 40.
He was wearing an orange Mountain Hardware jacket, Black Diamond gray pants and brown/green muck boots.
Anyone with information that can help authorities identify the man is asked to call 724-430-1270.
The cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy, Baker said.
State police and firefighters helped with the retrieval of the body. Dawson is downriver from Connellsville and Ohiopyle and upriver from Smithton.
