Powerball’s top prize soared to an estimated $1.25 billion after no one won the jackpot in Monday’s drawing.
That’s the sixth-largest jackpot in the game’s history, and the second largest in 2025.
Monday’s winning numbers were 23, 35, 59, 63, 68 and 2 on the Powerball. The lottery said ticket holders in Arizona and California matched all five numbers for $1 million prizes and 57 other tickets won lesser prizes.
The odds of winning the Powerball are about 1 in 292.2 million, reported CBS News.
The current jackpot is topped for 2025 by the $1.787 billion prize won Sept. 6 in Missouri and Texas. It’s the second time in the game’s history that there have been back-to-back jackpots worth billions.
The highest jackpot ever was $2.04 billion, awarded in 2022 in California.
The next drawing will be Wednesday.
A Powerball ticket holder in Pennsylvania recently won $2 million. A Sheetz convenience store in Beaver County sold the ticket that won a lesser prize in Saturday’s drawing, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.
