3 Hampton Council members win re-election

All three incumbent Hampton Council members were kept in office in Tuesday’s election, according to unofficial Allegheny County election results.

Council members Julie Fritsch, Carolynn Johnson, and Bethany Blackburn will keep their seats on the five-member council.

All three were unopposed in the Democratic primary. Fritsch and Johnson also received Republican nominations as write-ins.

Republican newcomer Dr. Dennis R. Phillips, a physician, came in a distant fourth.

Vote counts according to unofficial Allegheny County election results:

Julie W. Fritsch (D/R): 4,793

Carolynn R. Johnson (D/R): 4,731

Bethany Blackburn (D): 4,073

Dennis P. Phillips (R): 3,028
