Baldwin Street in Bridgeville will be closed until sometime in November, as crews work to make repairs on McLaughlin Run Bridge No. 6, according to Allegheny County’s public works department.
The closure is required for sediment removal, concrete repairs and other work on the bridge, according to the county. The county did not offer an exact date when the street would reopen.
Traffic will be detoured using McLaughlin Run Road, Bower Hill Road and Railroad Street.
Baldwin Street residents will have access to their homes at all times, according to county officials.
Pugliano Construction, of Plum, will be doing the work. The total cost of the project is about $198,000.
An average of 3,155 vehicles travel McLaughlin Run Bridge No. 6 daily, according to the county. It has a “fair” condition rating based on National Bridge Inspection Standards established by the Federal Highway Administration.
