As the administrator of Scottdale Healthcare and Rehabilitation, I want to reassure staff, families and the community that the facility is not closing. The article “East Huntingdon facility among bankrupt nursing homes scheduled for auction” (July 24, TribLive) referred to the ownership process, not a closure. Ownership transitions are a normal part of our industry, and our doors will remain open.

Our top priority continues to be providing the highest quality of care for our residents. With this transition, we anticipate new investments and resources that will strengthen our team, enhance our services and further support our commitment to the community. Please know that throughout the process we will remain fully licensed, fully staffed and fully committed to our mission of caring for those we serve.

Thank you for your trust, support and understanding. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
