Reinforcing their interest in players on the offensive and defensive lines, the Pittsburgh Steelers hosted one player from each side of the ball Thursday.

Visiting UPMC Rooney Sports Complex for official top-30 visits were Oklahoma offensive tackle Tyler Guyton and Northern Iowa defensive tackle Khristian Boyd.

Guyton is a projected first-round pick. Boyd is viewed as a third-day possibility.

Guyton, 22, is a 6-foot-8, 322-pound redshirt junior who spent two seasons at TCU before finishing his college career with two seasons at Oklahoma. NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah has Guyton rated as his No. 23 overall prospect in his latest rankings.

Most of Guyton’s experience at Oklahoma was at right tackle, a position the Steelers could fill if they switch 2023 first-rounder Broderick Jones back to left tackle, his natural spot. Of Guyton’s 14 starts in his two seasons with the Sooners, 13 were at right tackle.

According to Pro Football Focus, Guyton allowed just two sacks in 548 career pass-rush snaps and none last season.

At 24, Boyd is one of the oldest players in the NFL Draft class. He enrolled at Northern Iowa in 2018 and took advantage of the extra season provided by the covid-19 pandemic to spend six seasons in school. He is 6-2, 329 pounds and had 6 1/2 tackles for loss and 3 1/2 sacks last season.
