Ballot security presentation

At the regular monthly meeting of the Monroeville Republican Committee at 7 p.m. Dec. 28, Mary Jo Costello of Win Red will explain in detail how both in-person voting and our mail-in ballot flow in Allegheny County have major gaps in oversight. This is a matter of interest to all voters no matter their party affiliation.

The public is invited to join the meeting at the Parkway Building, Suite 1102, 339 Old Haymaker Road, Monroeville.

New Year’s Eve ball drop

Can’t stay up until midnight on New Year’s Eve? The Monroeville Public Library will present a ball drop at noon inside the Monroeville Mall on Dec. 31.

The free event for all ages will be held inside the lower mall level, in front of Dick’s Sporting Goods, beginning at 11:30 a.m. At noon, a giant disco ball will be lowered. There will be a raffle, party hats and horn blowers.
