Allegheny County Police said a woman was killed late Tuesday when the SUV she was driving crashed into an oncoming pickup in Shaler.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office has not identified the woman.
The crash was reported just after 10 p.m. on Mt. Royal Boulevard. A preliminary investigation showed that the SUV crossed the center line and drove into the path of a northbound pickup near the intersection of Kenneth Drive and East Pennview Street.
The male driver of the pickup was treated at the scene, police said. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-255-8477.
