The Fox Chapel Area High School junior class council is sponsoring the first-ever Jingle Bell Bash on Monday, December 18.

The holiday celebration is for children ages pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.

Members of the FCAHS junior class and members of high school clubs will oversee activities that will include holiday craft stations, games, story time with elves, pictures with Santa, and a hot chocolate bar.

The event is being held to generate food donations and raise money for the district’s 2023 telethon charity, Backpack for Hunger.

The Jingle Bell Bash will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Fox Chapel Area High School cafeteria. The event is free, but donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted. Suggested items include single-serve breakfast cereals; cans of soup, ravioli, and spaghetti; applesauce pouches; single-serve peanut butter packs or jars; boxed or single cups of macaroni and cheese; protein bars; and single-serve pudding cups.

Monetary donations will also be accepted.
