Zoning board vacancy in Fox Chapel
Fox Chapel is looking to fill a vacancy on the borough’s Zoning Hearing Board.
The board is a quasi-judicial body that makes decisions regarding specific land use actions. Board members should have a thorough knowledge of its specific functions and its place within local planning decisions.
Interested borough residents should send a resume and cover letter to speterson@fox-chapel.pa.us by Friday, Dec. 8.
Board members should possess the skills necessary to interact with the public, including patience and communication. Prospective board members should be interested in the future of the municipality and and that their personal opinions must take a back seat to the borough’s zoning ordinance.
Blawnox food pantry hours
Blawnox’s food pantry will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 18 and Dec. 29.
No proof of residency or income is required to receive items at the borough office, 376 Freeport Road.
People can donate nonperishable foods and personal hygiene products to the food pantry from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
