Dorseyville Road between Rawlins Run Road and Fox Chapel Road in Indiana Township has reopened traffic, the county Department of Public Works announced Friday, Nov. 17.

The closure, which began on Aug. 21, needed to replace Little Pine Creek Bridge No. 15, including new pavement, scour protection, pavement markings, and guide rail.

Pugliano Construction Co., Inc., of Plum completed the work as part of a $2.6 million contract that also includes work on five other bridges.

Another project on Dorseyville Road — involving milling and paving, base repairs, drainage improvements, shoulder work, and guide rail replacement — remains ongoing. That work requires periodic single-lane closures between Fox Chapel Road and Saxonburg Boulevard. Flaggers are being used to control traffic at work zones. It is expected to wrap up this month.
