Just a few hours before it was supposed to begin, Bruce Springsteen canceled his Philadelphia concert scheduled for Wednesday and the one for Friday because of an undisclosed illness.

The news was announced via a Twitter post on the official Springsteen account.

“Due to Bruce Springsteen having been taken ill, his concerts with The E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 have been postponed,” the tweet reads.

The post goes on to say that the shows will be rescheduled and that attendees should hold on to their tickets, which will be valid for the new, unannounced dates.
