Foam, family and fun were all part of Aspinwall’s “Big Night Out” on Aug. 10 at the borough’s recreational fields along Field Avenue.

The free event, presented by Aspinwall Neighbors, a community organization dedicated to promoting the borough, featured a bounce house, games, information booths from community groups, a foam party and a Neighborhood Lounge where those aged 21 and older could sample drinks from local distilleries and breweries.

The Aspinwall Drum Circle and Bindley Hardware Co. provided live music while police, firefighters and EMS personnel showcased vehicles and equipment.

Money raised this year through sponsorships and donations will fund micro grants that will channel the proceeds right back into the community.
