2 children killed in Beaver County shootings

Two children are dead after weekend shootings in Beaver County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, a 15-year-old boy died after being shot shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday in the area of Knoll and Main streets in Aliquippa.

He has been identified as Dahvea Sparrow, Tribune-Review news partner WPXI reported.

Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 724-773-7400.

The second shooting was reported shortly after 6:30 p.m. Sunday at 11th Street and Kennedy Drive in Ambridge.

Ambridge police found a boy, no age given, unresponsive in the middle of Church Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene, WPXI reported.

One of two men believed to be the shooters was seen going into an apartment building on Olive Lane. SWAT was called to remove him, WPXI reported.

Police have not said if the two shootings are related.
