Fischer, Brungo to face off for magisterial district judge seat in November

Eric Fisher and Matthew J. Brungo are set to face off in November for the Magisterial District Judge seat in District 05-02-12, which covers Bradford Woods, Marshall, McCandless, and Pine, according to unofficial Allegheny County election results.

Fischer won the Democratic nomination in the May 16 primary with 3,047 votes against 2,517 votes cast for Brungo with 100 percent of precincts reporting. There were 16 write-in votes.

Brungo, though, came out ahead for the Republican nomination with 2,807 votes against 1,158 votes for Fischer with 100% of precincts reporting. There were 27 write-in votes.

The pending retirement of Magisterial District Judge William K. Wagner created a wide-open vacancy in District 05-02-12.
