Two Rostraver teenagers are facing attempted homicide charges after one of them is accused of shooting at a man at a North Belle Vernon gas station, according to court papers.

The targeted man was not hurt.

Aiden Christopher Becker, 17, is being charged as an adult. He was arraigned Friday and is free on $10,000 unsecured bail. An arrest warrant has been issued for Amire R. Ganoung, 19.

Police responded to the 7-Eleven just off Interstate 70 at 2 p.m. March 1. The target of the shooting told police he knows both suspects, who were inside the convenience store. The pair began calling him names and tried to fight with him, according to court papers.

The altercation moved outside as the target of the shooting attempted to get in his vehicle when Ganoung pointed a gun at him, police said. The man told investigators he threw a can of soda at Ganoung, hitting the suspect’s shoulder, when the shot was fired. He ran into the store for help and Ganoung and Becker both fled, police said.

The suspects are charged with attempted homicide. Ganoung faces an additional weapons violation and aggravated assault charge. Becker is charged with conspiracy. His attorney could not be reached. A May 26 preliminary hearing is set.
