Brewu is the second 2024 defensive tackle to commit to Pitt, following 4-star Jahsear Whittington.
Brewu, a 6-foot-2, 270-pound prospect out of Worthington, Ohio, had a list of scholarship offers approaching 20, per his Rivals profile page.
In addition to Pitt, Army, Cincinnati, Iowa State, Minnesota and Northwestern were after his services, among others.
At the end of January, when Pitt hosted its annual Junior Day, Brewu was in attendance and left town with an offer from the Panthers.
Brewu was on hand Tuesday as the Panthers conducted their first spring football practice.
In addition to Whittington, Brewu joins Pitt’s 2024 class that also features receiver Ric’Darious Farmer (Cocoa, Fla.), Central York running back Julez Goff and Central Catholic defensive end Ty Yuhas.
