Warning About Illegal Dumping
Over the last few months, Fox Chapel Borough employees have been collecting illegally dumped brush found inside borough limits.
Borough officials remind residents that placing sticks, yard debris and leaves on borough property is illegal and may result in fines from the Fox Chapel Police Department.
Residents are asked to report any illegal dumping activities to the Police Department at 412-963-7220
Sign Up For Alerts
Residents are encouraged to sign up for digital alerts in Fox Chapel Borough.
Fox Chapel Borough has implemented Fox Chapel Alert, powered by Smart 911, replacing the previous Nixle Emergency and Community Notification System.
Residents will receive alerts about extreme weather, road closures, public health and safety concerns and community event notifications.
Subscribers can customize their notification preferences—text, push notifications, email or voice message—and the service is free.

Nuisance Wildlife
Residents unsure about how to handle wildlife encounters with animals such as snakes, raccoon, deer or other wildlife on their property are asked to call the Fox Chapel Police Department at 412-963-7220 or the Pennsylvania Game Commission at 724-238-9523. The Police Department will respond to all animal calls and offer options and referrals to animal control companies.
