The Daffodil and Hosta Society of Western Pennsylvania’s 28th Hosta Show is back following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

The Hosta Show is a juried show that offers the opportunity to hosta enthusiasts in the Western Pennsylvania area to showcase their best hostas.

Entries for the juried show of cut leaf, as well as potted hostas/arrangements, will be accepted from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 17, and from 8-10 a.m. on the day of the show, June 18. The judges are accredited by the American Hosta Society and ribbons are awarded to the exhibits that meet specific criteria. Once the judges award the prizes the exhibit is open to the general public to enjoy.

The show will take place at Soergel Orchards Farm Market, 2573 Brandt School Road in Wexford. Out of concern for the health and safety of all participating in show activities, the organization will follow any covid protocols that Soergel’s has in place at the time of the show.

The show is free and open to the public. In addition to the exhibit, there will be hosta plants for sale.

For more information on the show, hosta or DHSWP, contact Jim Kalka, Hosta Show Chair, at 724-933-3382.
