Letter to the editor: Simple fix could repair Hempfield road damage

This year and last year, some utility company made a full road cut across Donohue Road at Roseytown Road near 84 Lumber.

Both of these road cuts were about 2 feet wide and the asphalt settled down, leaving a very significant bump and sharp road edge, which caused cars to swerve and likely incur front end/tire damage.

This seems to be a much bigger event than it should be, since a simple fix — adding cold patch until a better repair can be made or just even putting up signs — would help a lot. But NO!

I contacted the county commissioners and Hempfield Township supervisors to get a resolution. Why? Does anyone else watch? Do the contractors involved care?
