Hampton Township School District, teachers reach 5-year contract agreement

Hampton Township School District and Hampton Township Education Association have reached a five-year contract agreement, as authorized by the school board on April 11.

The agreement takes effect July 1 and extends through June 30, 2027. Highlights include:

• Professional development options for teachers and staff that can be provided virtually and in-person;

• Annual increases of employee contributions toward health care for duration of the contract;

• Average annual pay increases of 3.4%.

According to a joint statement issued by Dina Dunmire, education association president, and Superintendent Michael Loughead:

“By working carefully and diligently together, the outcome resulted in a favorable agreement that maintains a focus on high-quality academic programming and services at Hampton Township School District.We are happy to have reached a balanced, efficient, and cost-effective agreement through detailed and careful negotiations.”
